Express. Empower. Get loud – this is the theme for Youth Week 2024, and it is embraced by ÐãÐãÖ±²¥.

Held on 7 April under the sponsorship of the World Health Organisation, World Health Day is celebrated globally with a theme selected each year to highlight a priority area of concern. ‘My health, my right’ is the theme of the 2024 World Health Day.

They first appeared a few days after Christmas, subtle but hiding in plain sight, chocolate Easter eggs in supermarkets. Admittedly Easter falls early this year, but eggs on sale before New Year’s Eve is surely a little too soon.

Dr Seuss once wrote, ‘why fit in when you were born to stand out’, a gentle reminder to all of us to not be afraid of who we are and to embrace the things that make us different. Easier said than done, but being different is celebrated in an amazingly uplifting way on World Autism Understanding Week– in fact, autism has been regarded as ‘a different brilliant®’.  

Embracing the diversity found within the walls of its Lakemba centre, the participants and team members from ÐãÐãÖ±²¥â€™s Disability Services celebrated Harmony Day with an inclusive and festive Multicultural Lunch.

We celebrated the opening of our expanded Fairfield office, joined by special guests and staff.

The NSW Government’s first Community Cabinet meeting of 2024 took place in East Hills on Friday, 15 March. The meeting allows members of the community to meet with the NSW Premier Chris Minns and his Cabinet Members and talk about local issues.

ÐãÐãÖ±²¥ is pleased to announce the Archbishop of Sydney, Most Rev. Anthony Fisher OP, has appointed Mr John Leotta as the new Chair of the ÐãÐãÖ±²¥ Board.

On World Day of Social Justice, we remind all members of the community to consider others and examine ways in which they can help create a world without injustice and suffering.
